Starting a Business
The CLS Community Economic Development (CED) project addresses the economic and housing needs of low-income people and their families. Our goal is to revitalize communities by developing and rehabilitating affordable housing. By supporting low income housing, attorneys at CLS aim to promote sustainability, attract investments, encourage entrepreneurship, and create jobs.
Through its CED Unit, CLS provides legal assistance to small businesses serving low-to-moderate income communities, non-profits engaged in community development activities, and non-profit affordable housing developers.
CLS also partners with other legal services organizations in Florida as part of the Florida Community Development Legal Project. Through this collaboration, the group is able to assist small businesses and non-profits across Florida.
